Psalm 23

The Lord’s my shepherd, I shall

want for nothing,

In pastures green He makes me

down to lie;

And sweetly rest beside the calm

blue waters,

Then holds my hand and gently

leads me by!

In righteousness He never will

forsake me.

He wipes my tears and hears my

faintest sigh’

**************

And shall I fear when death’s dim

shadows gather

In valleys dark, He still will

lead me on,

I’ll lean on Him, His rod, and staff

will comfort,

The way will brighten, and, the

morning, soon!

My enemies shall never overcome

me;

With joy and peace He’ll bring me

safely home.

**************

O Love, O Life, all goodness, grace

and mercy,

O food and drink and raiment

by the way!

My brimming cup, and oil for my

anointing,

Restoring me with strength

from day to day!

Within Thy House I’ll dwell  with Thee

forever,

And in Thy glorious Presence,

rest for aye!
