Domain of death

O tomb of night

Can He be bound?

Who is the Light?

O blackest dark

O hopeless space

Can life come forth?

From such a place?

But soon the night

Will turn to day

For He will tear

Its bars away.

Now Christ is risen!

Shout the word

Could ever greater

Sound be heard?
