A Broken Heart

Do you know of a heart that lies broken?
Crushed down by its sorrow and care,
Cast out by its fellow travellers,
Forsaken! Since no one is there.

O lift up these heartbroken dear ones,
Their weeping no longer ignore,
There’s a God who is weeping with them,
Oh don’t let them sigh anymore.

Who knows if a smile, and compassion
Will make them again tread the way,
And once more journey on with the Saviour,
And their darkness will change into day.
